How to stream your IP camera to Social Media Platforms
Effortless streaming with IPCamLive

Live streaming has become an essential way to connect with audiences in real-time, whether for hosting events, webinars, or sharing special moments with a broader audience. Social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and others make it easier than ever to broadcast your live events, but getting started can seem a bit daunting.

In this article, we’ll guide you through the step-by-step process of setting up your live stream to social media platforms using IPCamLive. You’ll learn how to configure the necessary settings and ensure a seamless streaming experience.

To start live streaming, all you need are two key pieces of information: the Stream URL and the Stream ID. These can be obtained directly from the social media platform you wish to stream to. Once you provide these details to your IPCamLive account, you’re just a few steps away from broadcasting your event live.

Let’s dive into the setup process and get your live event ready for the world to see!

Facebook Live

In the case of Facebook Live streaming, the process is the following: Go your Facebook page and click on "Live video":

From the next 2 options choose what fits you the best:

Select "Streaming software":

You can fint the Stream URL and the Stream ID here:

Copy "Stream key" (will be your Stream ID) into your IPCamLive account and also the Server URL (will be your Steam URL).

Youtube Live

In the case of YouTube Live streaming the process is the following: Go to https://studio.youtube.com/ and click on “Create” then "Go Live Now":

If you've never done it before, you'll need to wait 24 hours to receive YouTube approval:

After you get the approval on the next page you could find "Stream key" and "Stream URL":

Copy "Stream key" (will be your Stream ID) into your IPCamLive account and also the Server URL (will be your Steam URL).

Instragram Live

In the case of Instagram Live streaming the process is the following: Go Under the Instagram logo Menu bar and choose Create -> Live video:

Name your Live event and hit Next:

Instagram will reveal your "Stream URL" and "Stream Key":

Twitch

In the case of Twitch streaming the process is the following: Go to your Creator Dashboard under your account:

Fill out all the details of your stream profiles:

On to the Setting -> Stream menu, and find your "Primary Stream key":

Copy "Primary Stream key" (will be your Stream ID) into your IPCamLive account and also the Endpoint URL (will be your Steam URL).

Stream sharing settings on IPCamLive camera page

Once your social media platform's server is prepared, go back to your IPCamLive account. Go to Cameras -> Edit -> Settings. On this page find and enable the Stream Sharing option:

Copy the "Stream ID" and "Stream URL" you determined earlier and click the Update button.

Go back to the platform page and check out your active live stream:
